This little twig of happiness

Hi, today is a little post about a little twig of happiness that I thought I've lost. Literally.

By Rebecca Platt
This is a photogram (which is when you use light and objects to create cool little art work on light-sensitive paper) that my really close friend Becca made during out photogram unit we did in Visual Art using a tree branch she found in the school ground. I think she didn't mean for it to be anything special, more like playing around really but it turned out amazing. I love it so much and I was super duper excited when she gave it to me :D :D :D because the twig's leaves somehow remind me of the fairy lights on Christmas tree and I get really excited in Christmas :) I also like how it's really simple but interesting as well. When I got home that day, I couldn't find it!! I was so sad and I felt terrible as well because this was a gift. But last night while looking through my Maths Homework book, I FOUND IT !!!!! I was so so happy :) :) :) Now I'm looking for a space to pin this up, some where I can stare at it all the time, probably next to my jewellery stand, hmm...Anyway, so this is my little twig of happiness for yesterday, and today and probably this week also :) So thank you Becca ILY :D

Mayhem Monday

Hey guys I'm here for an all-over-the-place post,I'll just be writing things that pops up in my head.
So just after work, I was wiping my eye make up off, (I didn't wear any face make up like always) and I noticed FREAKING WRINKLES around my eyes that I swear weren't there yesterday!! And on top of that, area undermy eyes look like it can use a few years of sleep (I've been sleeping 8 hours every day so WTF) and on top of this on top of that, the skin around my eyes which were always so smooth and pretty are now sooo dry and flaky (except my eyelid of course which is always SO OILY and mange to melt off my eyeliner every time). So now I'm all eyes and ears open for a good eye cream to help me combat the flippin' eye problems. Suggestions??
Now onto a cheerier note, MARIE POFF-TER  IS BACK!!!! I haven't seen her for 4 weeks so I'm super duper happy that she has survived and returned from freaking France and America and Hongkong and Switzerland and Germany !!!!  I'm soo jelly because she looks as tan and tank as ever !!! WELCOME BACK MARIE :D :D :D
Back to my depressing mood. I am under achieving,  know I am. I really hope I don't sound too conceited and snobby but I know what I'm capable of getting and I'm a bit guttered of not getting as high as I can. Because I over-estimate my ability which is pretty arrogant I know but I just was too relaxed. Believe me, after 5 years of having to learn a second language and 5 years of watching my parents struggle to support me and how much hope they have in me, under-achieving is the last thing I want to do. But that's exactly what's happening to me. I know I can't change anything of the past but I will really really do the best I can next time :). This is a promise I'm going to make to myself and hopefully be able to keep it :).
I'm still shit scared from Paranormal Activity 2 which I saw last Saturday, I'll have a post on that later.
Let's end on a happier note, well notes actually. I'm really pumped for Wednesday and Thursday because it's ZUMBA OLYMPIC BRING YOUR FRIENDS WEEK !!!! So a few of my classmates are coming and it's really really exciting!!! AND AND AND, on Friday night, all of my close friends are coming to dine at Bangkok Thai which is where I work and then we're going to Marie's house for a sleepover to do a huge catch up session which is going to be so much fun!!! I'll be sure to do posts on both events :)
That's it for today, I'm sorry this messy post was kind of depressing, let's hope the water calms down tomorrow (I'm totally enjoying watching the Olympics, especially rowing and artistic gymnastic). And just to chuck it in here, my favourite photo of the day, I think it's so bloody gorgeous :)
Bye bye

Soft winged eye look :)

I was playing around with my make up and this is what I ended up with. I actually really like the final product so I decided to do a tutorial on how to recreate this look. :)

sorry my camera is really crappy, this look alot more yellowy than it actually is.

1. First apply a layer of your favourite eye primer, then brush on a thin layer of the third colour down from Revlon Neutral Khakis Colourstay Quad as a base (I used a powder because I have really oily lid)
2. Using a soft pencil eyeliner in black (I used my Maybelline Define-A-Line in ebony black) to draw a fairly thick line (depends on what kind of look you're going for) right from the tear duct to the outer corner and slowly wing it out. Then use the smudger end of my eyeliner, I dipped it in the darkest colour which is a dark purple-y brown and slowly dab it onto the eyeliner. Then lightly line my lower lash line with this as well.
3. Then use the second colour down from the same quad which is a fairly golden shimmer colour, sweep it across the lid, on top of the eyeliner as well. This will really soften up the eyeliner.
4. Again dip your brush into the darkest colour, lightly push it into the crease area to give some depth, again you can adjust the amount depends on how smokey you want this look to be.
5. Use any cream/gel/liquid eyeliner you have or even a pencil one, line your tight line and draw a really thin line on top of the original liner, get as close the the lashes as possible (do a thick line for a night look or skip this step if you want a fairly soft look)
6. Highlight your brow bone and inner corner with the lightest colour from the same quad.
7. Lastly curl your eyelashes and put on your favourite mascara (even falsies if you want).

I really like with look  because the soft winged out eye looks really cool along with the gold shimmering eyeshadows on top. I also really like how you can recreate this look depend on your preference, with a lighter base colour and less dramatic eyeliner would be really cool as a day look, and if you go heavier hand with brown on the crease, larger wings and some falsies, this would be perfect for a night out.
My first makeup tutorial ever, hope you like it :)
