Thankful, thick, thingamajig Thursday

Hey, soo... it's thursday! Let's just say today is definitely better than yesterday, but I've had better thursday :)
First up, I want to talk about my pie. So for every school report, it comes with a pie graph that shows the proportion of Excellences, Merits, Achieves and Not achieves. Term 2, I got a one colour pie of E :). But now I fear it wont be anymore, today's merit for history has mucked it up. I mean I was kinda expecting an Achieve, because of yesterday's incident. If I actually got an achieve, my pie would be like that chocolate pie in The Help, a chocolate pie with a little bit of shit in it. So I'm pretty thankful :).
Secondly, I'm 90% convinced that I'll be forever alone. I'm as attractive as an ostrich gets and plus, I'm a fat/shirt/stubby emu...
Thirdly, I again realized how stupid I look do zumba.
Fourthly, HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNAH THOMAS!!!!
Fifthly, RIP Marie Poff, I hope you come back to life (FB) soon :) :)
Sixthly, I only like Rosanna Patterson because of her Nerds, I KID :D
Oh nearly forgot, seventhly, work is a biarch, it started at 5pm and I really wanted to go to zumba at 7:15, it was dead quiet with no customer will 6:30 then BAM, everyone rushed in at once. I was like are you serious?? But I came up to my boss and ask it I can go home, and she said yes, so YAY :D

My day? A rollercoaster going straight to HELL

Ok let's get started :)
Depressing title I know, but it can't be any more appropriate. To start off, woke up half an hour late, so I was rushing like a total retard to school with hair still damp and skin as dry as Marie's jokes (trust me they're dry). Then BAM, 1 hr and 15 mins of Maths, 15 mins in and I was already thinking "KILL ME NOW" by then. But thanks to the lovely Jess and Rosie who I sat next to in Maths kinda cheered me up :) Art was a fail, I tried to do another print off my etch but it didn't turn up as good as I hoped, then the freaking oil ink completely ruined my nails that I painted yesterday (one hand was pastel minty green and the other hand was nude pink and they were so pretty) :( :( :( And then came History, it single handedly ruined my day, last term I did an internal researching about The bombing of the Rainbow Warrior, and I was so happy with my work till I found out that I wont be getting any higher than Achieved, because of some stupid little mistakes I made, ARE YOU EFFING SERIOUS? Oh my gosh I'm so guttered. SO I was pretty much depressed all lunch time with some of my friends busy hanging out with other people oh yea and an update fro the stuff yesterday, I have concluded that I should just leave everything the hell alone and try not too analyse anything  :( :( :( Then Science was a total pain in the ass, did I mention how awkward Science was yesterday? Well today is worse... yea I kinda dozed off half way through.... A good thing today is that I don't have work :D HALLELUJAH :D :D So I went to zumba at 6:15, It was really fun till the end when I realise that I'm too chubby so I looked pretty stupid shaking my bum bum (it's part of zumba) :( :( :(. So now I'm sitting on my bed writing this blog feeling slightly like a sad cat. But..

Terrific/ terrible Tuesday

Hey guys, first of all I'm so sorry for not being able to put the pics from Miss Teen up because Rebecca hasn't put them up on facebook yet. But I promise I'll put them up as soon as possible :)
Now let's get on to today's post. TERRIFIC/ TERRIBLE TUESDAY. Well it's was an alrite day actually, nothing too terrible but I couldn't think of any better words start with t. It's pretty terrific to start off considering I have no work today :D :D Then I have my favourite subject which is Art first :D :D Then I finally got my report, 3 weeks late, and I have to say I'm pretty proud of my report, not a single NCEA standard achieve or merit, straight Excellence :D :D :D. I'm pretty sure that'll change in the second report at the end of the year though, considering I got a merit in my Speech :\ and there'll probably be some more down the road. 
Something "terrible" was that during Art, I sat next to Madeline and Brittany, who both have a guy in their life and they were talking about boys, and I was just sitting there thinking "FML, I'm gonna be FOREVER ALONE". But then I got some prezzies from Rosie which made my day terrific again. Rosie just got back from Vanauatu :D :D and she gave me a pink starfish-shaped soap which smells soo good and a friendship bracelet that has red, dark blud, light blue and green arrowheads which I absolutely adore :D thanks Rosie <3 <3. Then the best part, I got home and took a really really long nap till like 7pm which was like HEAVEN after 2 nights of 6 hours sleep (I love my sleep) :) :) :).
But for some reason, through out the day, either I was being very judgemental (which I rarely am) or that stuff's happening, let's hope I'm being too judgemental :P. I'll keep you update on that :D
Oh and also, I'd like to give a shout out to Miss Kay's blog who is one of my very good friend :D and Marie who is either America or Europe right now on holiday :) :)
And lastly I'm thinking of new ideas for my blog, either another Art post or a fashion/hair/makeup post :)

Term 3

Sorry I didn't blog yesterday, I didn't have time with all the homework I needed to catch up on. Anyway, Term 3 started today, FML... Seriously, after 2 weeks straight of sleeping in and facebook all day, coming back to school is HELL. I sat through 5 classes today thinking I DONT WANT TO BE HERE !! Yea I know, I'll get used to it soon enough :P. And my friend Rosanna got back from Vanauatu, YAY! :D
Anyway, I just got back from work, man it was HECTIC. Well hectic for a monday, had about 10 tables, and loads of things happened. I broke a champagne glass :( :( :( :( I'm so clumsy, thank god my boss didn't sound too angry. A couple trying to make a booking today but weren't able to so the man as swearing at me over the phone, that was NOT fun. And then this dude who went in alone, half way through his main, he lost half a tooth so he paid and left. Then my boss made me some noodles to take home, so looking forward to my lunch tomorrow :D
Oh I nearly forgot, remember how I was talking about losing weight and doing myfitnesspal? well  that went out the window :\. Because since I mostly eat Asian Food, I could find the correct calories on the page, then one day I'll go way over my limit, the next day I'll b 500 calories short. Which didn't make sense because it felt like I ate about the same amount. Another reason is that I couldn't remember what I ate :(. Oh well I'm sure I'll find my motivations again pretty soon :)
Aah I'm so sleepy, barely got any sleep yesterday cause my sister was on the phone and we share the same room. So yea, BYEEEEEE :) :) :) Oh and Becca said she'll put the pics up tomorrow so I shall be blogging about that :) Again BYEEEEEEEEE :) :)

Miss Teen Manawatu 2012

Hello, I just got back from Miss Teen Manawatu Final Night. I really enjoyed watching it, especially  when my friend Brittany got into the top 6 finalist and my former classmate Charlotte won the Miss Teen Crown. Overall a great night. 
At the very beginning, when my friends were trying to get me to do Miss Teen, I thought "There's no freaking way that I'm going to stand up there, smiling like a plastic doll and let the people judge me on my appearance then compare me to other girls." Because A. Pretty is definitely not one of the first word that I describe myself and B. I don't have the money to fake it and C. I didn't get why in the world would you pay $365 (not to mention the hair, make up, ball gown,..) for some one else to judge you not on your talent but your appearance. I thought a competition like this is so superficial and demeaning. But then when it started, as I watched and helped Brittany and Becca to doll up, be pretty, and how confidence they were. Then I also got dolled up to go to the Cocktail Night. It was so much fun!!! It really did changed my opinion on Beauty Pageants. 
But as the competition coming to a close, cracks started to appear. Cracks of being pushed too hard, money, expectations, circumstances, jealousy, loyalty, desperation, confidence... These are the cracks that only the people who are close to the contestants could see but cant speak up about so we can only try to cover them up. 
After the show I was talking to someone I know and they said "It was a fun to watch, not to be in it though". I couldn't agree more. It is so easy to get sucked into all that glam and glitter.
The former Miss Teen, the MC, the judges, the coordinators all pretty much describe the competition as a way to help to build confidence and learn important life skills. Not really. Well maybe, for the ones who won something. Because, this is the opinion of the people who got it good, so they have to make it sound good to the rest of us. But what important life skills? Foundation goes before concealer? Or always stand with one feet in front of the other? And how can the non winner build their confidences when they're being told non-directly that they are not as pretty, not as photogenic, do not have as much potential, aren't dressed as nicely or have uglier hair compared to other contestants (it's even worse if they're your friends)? How can they be confident when all their efforts resulted a zero. This is why only the winner gets to give speeches, it's like in History: all war books are written from the winner's point-of-view. And if the non-winners speak up on how they actually feel, they'll probably be called 'sore loser'. But they can't help it feeling sad, it's the human nature. 
I do applause all the contestants though, for being brave enough to enter this competition, it is definitely not an easy thing to put yourself out there (obviously I failed). 
Please do bear in mind when you read this is that this is my personal opinion. From someone who witnessed, not a loser or a winner. And I am definitely NOT forcing my opinion on anyone, you can take as much or as little of this post as you want, or non at all. 
Again, congratulation to all the contestants.
